The third protest, and the timing is the point.
At half past one the Seanad takes up the citizenship rules inside that building, so from 1 we are outside it: residents and migrant communities on Kildare Street, against eight years for people already living, working and building their lives here on the five-year pathway. Bring a sign, and bring whoever will come with you.

Why
Five years was the deal.
The Bill would raise the residence requirement for Irish citizenship from five years to eight, and apply it to people already here and already counting. No rationale, research or evidence has been published for the eight. The whole case, with every source, is on the main page.
